新型コロナウイルス感染拡大防止のため、2020年4月25日から5月6日に予定しておりました『東京レインボープライド2020』の開催中止を決定したことをお知らせいたします。
これまで開催に向けてあらゆる可能性を検討してまいりましたが、現時点で国内外の感染が収束する見通しは立っておらず、イベントにお集まりいただく皆さまの安心と安全、感染拡大防止を第一に考慮した結果、本年の開催は難しいと判断いたしました。また、これ以上イベント開催可否の決断を遅らせることで、様々な関係者の方にご迷惑をおかけしてしまうことから、当初予定していた3月25日よりも早い段階で中止を判断した次第です。
開催を楽しみにしていただいていた皆様や、これまで実施に向けてご準備いただいてきた皆様に、このようなご連絡をさせていただくことを心よりお詫び申し上げます。
多くの皆様にご協力をいただきながら1年かけて準備を進めてきただけに、断腸の思いではありますが、何卒ご理解いただけますと幸いです。
感染拡大がおさまり、またみなさまとご一緒させていただける日を心より楽しみにしております。

2013年より「ゴールデンウィークをレインボーウィークに！」と呼びかけ行ってまいりましたプライドウィークですが、こちらはあくまでも呼称であり弊団体が所有しているものではございません。よって、この期間に弊団体が主催するイベントに関しては中止いたしますが、各団体や個人の責任でイベントを開催していただくものに関しては弊団体が管理するところではございません。例年通り、ご連絡いただいた各イベントは広報協力ということで弊団体ウェブページに掲載させていただきます。詳細については近日中に弊団体ウェブページ上でお知らせします。
We are sad to announce that Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2020, which was scheduled over 25 April 2020 to 6 May 2020, will be canceled to prevent the spread of the new corona virus.
We have been examining all possibilities for the event, but at this time there are no prospects that infections in Japan and abroad will cease in the near future. As a result, giving consideration to the health and safety of all participants, we have made the decision to cancel the event due to the risks involved. As delaying the decision further will cause inconvenience to various stakeholders, we made the decision to announce the cancellation earlier than the originally planned 25 March.
We sincerely apologize to all those who have been looking forward to or have been preparing for the event.
While this is an unfortunate result in spite of the year-long preparations which have been made along with the cooperation of a wide range of supporters, we ask for your understanding in this matter.
We look forward to the day in which the infection has subsided and we can all gather once more.

While Pride Week has been run annually from 2013 with the idea of "Turning Golden Week into Pride Week!", this is simply a concept, and not something owned by this organization. Thus, while events hosted by our organization during this period will be cancelled, we do not take responsibility for events run by other organizations or individuals. As in previous years, our organization will continue to promote events we are informed of via our website. Further details will be announced on our website shortly.
